Zachary J. Schierl
Director of Business Development
Zachary serves as Director of Business Development at Julius Capital, where he leads the firm’s strategic client engagement and growth initiatives. Zach specializes in cultivating impactful partnerships with clients and guiding them through the design and execution of their mission-critical financial projects, including real estate monetization, planned giving strategies, and operational budgeting.
Zach works closely with clients to identify their most pressing funding needs and to craft comprehensive funding solutions, leveraging Julius Capital’s innovative toolkit centered around “balance sheet philanthropy”, or the integration of sophisticated financial instruments with traditional philanthropic capital, to deliver fiscally sustainable, mission-aligned outcomes.
Before joining Julius Capital, Zach held leadership roles in advancement and development within the Catholic nonprofit sector, including positions at the Diocese of Fort Worth Advancement Foundation and the University of Dallas. His experience in these mission-driven environments informs his client-first approach and his ability to align financial strategy with organizational values.
Zachary holds degrees in Philosophy, Politics, and Ethics from the University of Dallas, where he served as president of the Society of St. Joseph as well as Commentary Editor and staff writer for the Cor Chronicle. Zachary is consecrated to Our Lady and a member of the Militia Immaculata, founded by St. Maximillian Kolbe.
