Zachary J. Schierl

Director of Business Development

Zachary works with Julius Capital clients to identify their critical funding need and to help design an appropriate “total funding solution” that draws upon Julius Capital’s substantial and growing toolkit of funding mechanisms, including funding solutions that integrate finance, philanthropy and real estate monetization vehicles. Zach specializes in working with clients to implement JC-designed funding solutions by combining comprehensive research with effective execution schemes tailored to the clients’ specific needs.

Prior to joining Julius Capital, Zach held multiple positions in advancement and philanthropy. Working in philanthropic services at the Diocese of Fort Worth Advancement Foundation, he provided major gift officers with donor analysis and quantitative research on multiple capital projects. Zach then spent three years in the Office of Development and University Relations at the University of Dallas, where he prospected, drafted, and pitched in-depth research packages for high-profile giving opportunities. Zach augmented these research packages with solicitation strategies for securing major gifts, designed to foster enduring connections between the University and its donors.

Zach is a graduate of the University of Dallas, where he studied Philosophy, Politics, and Ethics. Zach is the former President of the Society of St. Joseph, a Catholic men’s organization dedicated to forming young men to lead virtuous and pure lives amidst the temptations of the modern world. In addition, Zach is a published writer, and he is the former Commentary editor of The Cor Chronicle.
