Larry advises clients on their real estate development projects. His expertise includes nonprofit real estate development, affordable housing, tax credits and government financing, and financial structuring.

Larry has worked as a multi-family developer and consultant to nonprofits since 1987, creating and preserving a variety of family, senior and assisted living developments throughout his career. His work has been recognized by the Fannie Mae, the Chicago Board of Realtors, the Chicago Federal Home Loan Bank, NAMI and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation.

As part of the +1,000 units created, Larry has produced +30 developments focused on persons with special needs, such as persons recovering from mental illness, survivors of domestic violence, and the homeless. He has also helped to create several new assisted living residences. Larry’s past clients have included the Alexian Brothers and Mercy Housing, among others.

Larry started his career as the housing director for Mercy-Lakefront and the Heartland Alliance, two of Chicago’s most prominent nonprofit development agencies. Since then, he has been a presenter at many national conferences and trainings including those hosted by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Chicago Federal Home Loan Bank, the Illinois Housing Development Authority, and numerous others.  Larry has also served as an instructor for the University of Illinois Urban Studies Program, teaching courses in multi-family finance.

Larry is a graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Medill School of Journalism and a graduate of the LISC Development Training Institute.

He currently resides in Chicago with his wife, Anita.
