Jeff Fortenberry

Congressman Jeff Fortenberry is a businessman and former public official. Jeff was elected to the United States House of Representatives for nine terms. He served Nebraska’s First Congressional District and rose to a senior level on the House Appropriations Committee, with a distinguished record in foreign policy, food policy, and healthcare policy.

Jeff began his public service with an extensive background in economics and small business. As a public official, he prioritized economic security, national security, and family security, working to uphold and protect human rights and human dignity. After returning to the private sector, Jeff founded Fort Strategies, a business development and public affairs company. His experience includes real estate development, local governance and tax issues, and assistance to Church-related entities.

Jeff holds a BA in economics from Louisiana State University, a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown, and a Master of Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. He is married to Celeste; they have five daughters, two grandchildren, and another waiting to be born shortly.
