Director of Philanthropy Services

Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Philanthropy Services will be responsible for spearheading the growth of JCS’s philanthropy services consulting business. The initial focus of the Director will be to understand JCS’s existing balance sheet philanthropy solutions. Working with the JCS President and ILF Founder, the Director will help propose and win targeted engagements directed in most cases to Catholic Dioceses and Foundations which are existing ILF and JCS financial services clients. The Director will recruit, hire, train and supervise JCS philanthropy consultants necessary to service a growing base of JCS philanthropy engagements. The Director will (i) work with clients to design campaign plans which integrate JCS balance sheet philanthropy giving options into traditional fundraising campaigns, (ii) design and deliver trainings which teach client development personnel how to offer JCS asset-based giving options to qualified major gift prospects, (iii) supervise a blended staff of JCS philanthropy consultants and client personnel to successfully achieve campaign goals and (iv) manage client relationships and maintain ongoing external and internal reports to benchmark against goals.

Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Philanthropy Associate will provide direct support to JCS’s philanthropy consultants and nonprofit clients, enabling them to fund mission-critical initiatives. The initial focus of the Philanthropy Associate will be to understand JCS’s unique and sophisticated approach to nonprofit funding including “balance sheet philanthropy” solutions, traditional cash fundraising, and modern financing mechanisms. Working with the Director of Consulting Services, as well as the firm’sFounder, the Philanthropy Associate will help clients implement JCS-designed fundraising solutions into capital campaigns to unlock the full giving capacity of their major gift prospects. Specific duties of the role will include (i) working with JCS philanthropy clients to create materials and execute plans for capital campaigns that integrate JCS balance sheet philanthropy with traditional fundraising campaigns, (ii) preparing and presenting training sessions which instruct client development personnel on how to offer JCS asset-based giving options to qualified major gift prospects and (iii) supporting the Director of Consulting Services and other Philanthropy

Financial Analyst

Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst will play a vital role in JCS’s consulting practice by providing support to the group’s Director and working directly with clients. The role will allow the Analyst to develop and utilize skills in financial analysis, deal structuring, marketing/sales. The role will also expose the Analyst to sophisticated forms of philanthropic giving including Julius Capital’s expertise in “Balance Sheet Philanthropy”. By working alongside JCS’s leadership team, including the firm’s Founder and Director, the Analyst will receive ongoing mentorship, training, and career development opportunities. Specific duties of the role will include (i) analyzing client financial statements and creating various financial models, (ii) assisting in the designing of client funding solutions, (iii) executing financial transactions including bond financings, real estate projects, and philanthropy engagements, and (iv) create presentations, proposals, and pitches for transactions, engagements, and business development opportunities. Additionally, the Analyst will provide support to JCS’s operations and marketing initiatives.
